Mr. Pareschi has developed throughout his career a strong expertise and track record in R&D and business development of innovative ICT technologies and in the funding of high-tech new ventures.
Before NGP Italy he was one of the founding partners of Longitude, an innovative advisory firm supporting high-tech companies in their financial and strategic needs. Previously, he was responsible for the corporate R&D area at the Telecom Italia Group, where he supervised several spin-out projects of selected technologies developed in the research centers of the Group. From 1994 to 1998, he was Research Manager at the Xerox Research Center Europe in Grenoble, from 1989 to 1994, he led the team on Distributed Systems and Applications at the European Computer-industry Research Center (ECRC) in Munich and from 1987 to 1988, he was Research Fellow at the Moore School of Engineering at University of Pennsylvania.
He holds BA, Master’s and PhD degrees in computer science and artificial intelligence from the University of Bologna and University of Texas at Austin (where he was Fullbright fellow) and University of Edinburgh (where he was University of Edinburgh Postgraduate Fellow).
