Mr. Perron is based in Montreal, Canada and co-manages all NGP Canada’s local and cross border activities. Mr. Perron is founder and president of Vestra Capital Inc., an investment-banking boutique, whose advisory services mostly focus on transaction related events including M&A, strategic alliances, financial restructuring and private placements for private and public small & medium enterprises (SME).

Mr. Perron ’s profile combines a strong operating background as former president of a subsidiary of a large Canadian company (Canadian National) to over 10 years experience in the Canadian financial market both in institutional sales and investment banking.

Before his present occupation, Mr. Perron's was senior vice president, investment banking at Midland Walwyn Securities, which later became Merrill Canada Inc. Prior to this, he co-headed institutional sales at Marleau Lemire Securities and held senior positions in a number of large Canadian companies and institutions, including President of CN Express, Vice President planning and development at Dominion Textile, Vice Dean, Business and Economic faculties at Université du Québec à Montréal.

Mr. Perron is well known to the corporate and financial community in the province of Quebec including portfolio managers, ventures funds and private investment groups. His strong financial and operating background and broad access to key individuals and organizations have facilitated transactions in several industry sectors including: telecommunication, enterprise mobility platform, transportation logistic, call centre, medical devices, financial services etc.

Mr. Perron holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree, both from McGill University.
